About
Us
This
website has been created for the Worsbrough community to enable news,
views, events and groups to be promoted.
Voluntary
Action Barnsley are the sponsors of the Worsbrough project which is funded
by Objective 1 and SRB (Single Regeneration Budget) until March 2007.
The
aim of the project is to undertake activities to address the areas prioritised
with in the Worsbrough area, engaging the local community, local groups
and agencies in working together to improve the quality of life for
local residents. It will also develop initiatives and activities that
will address the removal of barriers of work and gaining the skills
and experience to support them into employment through training and
volunteer opportunities. Links will also be made with Kendray and Worsbrough
Community Partnership (KWCP) to develop an effective working relationship
across the whole Partnership area. Gemma Fogg is the Partnerships
Co-ordinator.
To
deliver these activities the Community Participation Worker (Jill Bramall)
will work across the whole of the Worsbrough area and will be supported
by the Administration, Monitoring & Finance Officer (Julie Hallsworth).
